Dear Lord I pray you listen to me for a while
I am broke and wearing clothes that are clearly out of style
Please bless me now to win the largest lottery game
I haven’t played lately in Jesus’ name
If you grant this one simple request
I will give you my life and give you my best
You see, the money will allow me to buy houses and cars
Take long relaxing vacations and get my golf game on par
Everyone laughs and tells me to just get a job and save
I’m aweful at working and holding on to money I’ve made
I don’t have a retirement 401K or savings plan
at my age most don’t they are out walking on sand
It’s amazing how little I see my friends going to work
why should they at 60, we are subject to get hurt
Just let me pick them right numbers and get my life back on track
I’m thinking the first thing I’ll do is buy my wife and kids back
No more Vegas or Atlantic City for me
I’ve made my share of messes that has led to this plea
Lord I’m embarrassed for having to ask you so late and clever
But like they say in heaven - better late than never
Okay, Lord, I’m going to sign off and end this sincere prayer request
Please don’t keep me waiting I want to attend the German October Fest
I’ve already bought my plane tickets and got my hotel reservation
Let’s get’er done quickly and afterwards I’ll repent and accept your plan of Salvation
Okay?
Have a great day.
Amen.
