Psalms 77:3-12

Can’t sleep? Maybe God has open the door for you to conversate with him.

WORD FOR THE DAY: Sometimes, God extends the invitation for us to talk with him - using what often seems like a curse - insomnia; it’s actually a well crafted moment initiated by God to answer some of your nagging questions or just talk to him about your concerns.

The bible records (1 Samuel 3), that a young man -Samuel was awaken from his sleep several times only for - Eli the priest - to tell him, “Next time you are awaken and hear a voice call out to you - say yes, Lord, here am I.”

Maybe, because of your busy schedule with your spouse, family, work and other activities, you’ve tuned God out. Perhaps he is trying to talk to you about the very issues you have been worrying and laboring over. Perhaps God is trying to tell you He has the answer to your questions but you’re not listening or paying him any attention.

Next time you find yourself unable to sleep or awakened from your sleep and don’t know why? Say, “Yes, Lord… here am I. I’m available to talk.” Give God your time, more importantly, give him your ear and attention.
